I live and work in my studio space. I follow the sounds of the environment around me: high-heeled footsteps, car engines going uphill, kids getting out of school, and vendors selling ice cream. I invite these sounds into my space and go about my activities with this music as my accompaniment. My work process becomes like a dance, filled with rhythms and sensations that move me in the direction of art-making. In my practice, I find connections between technology and manual/physical labor usually, such as housework and so-called menial labor, so that the technology becomes more socially connected. I explore the relationship between language, art, work, and technology to find connections with earth, environment, and indigenous heritage.
